Ripple Effect Band

Ripple Effect Band blend beautiful harmonies with surf rock guitar licks and a driving reggae rock beat which gets audiences up and dancing. Hailing from the remote community of Maningrida in West Arnhem Land, they sing in four languages and share stories and songs from their homelands.

They will be joined in a special night as they bring to you the debut performance of Kintore Kungka Band from the central desert community of Kintore. Being amongst the few women in remote communities in the NT who have taken up instruments, Ripple Effect Band are supporting these young women to join them to rock the stage. Expect some emotion, expect exciting collaboration, expect to be transported to the north, from the desert to the saltwater.

They will be supported by special guests from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
